Product Description The Westinghouse SK-26H590D is a 26 widescreen DVD combo featuring an integrated ATSC/NTSC/ClearQAM tuner and front slot-load DVD/CD player. Designed to fit cleanly and stylishly into any space, this deceptively thin combo unit offers such top-of-the-line features as Pixel Direct technology for a short signal path, SpineDesign side connectors for easy accessibility and Autosource automatic source detection. And two (2) HDMI connectors to ensure maximum connectivity now and in the future.

built-in DVD player is useless! February 23, 2010 Daniel I. Worland (chicago, il United States) I guess I'm just adding my voice to the choir here, but the built-in DVD player on this thing is the most useless piece of crap I've ever dealt with. It struggles with the most basic tasks and as of today, seems to have crapped out completely.

YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS TV/DVD COMBO AT THIS PRICE. HDMI PC COMPONENT CABLE INPUTS EVERYTHING NEEDED TO GET STARTED FOR YOUR BEDROOM. PURCHASED AND SATISFIED. RECOMMEND!
good features & price, if only if worked July 9, 2008 M. K. Brown 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After doing a local market survey of HDTV's that would fit my entertainment cabinet from the "old days" TV I gave to the Salvation Army, I liked the set of features and inputs best for the Westinghouse 26" HDTV. I acommodated all of my inputs from DVD, VCR, & ATSC. I was particularly impressed by the tuner sensitivity as it pulled in 28 analog channels and 24 digital channels off my attic antenna (I am about 30 miles out of NY City and also get Philly stations).
Now for the bad news. Like other reviewers (wish I had read these earlier) I also had a persistent problem with total lockup from on-air signals. None of the buttons on the remote or TV worked... except that I discovered the old PC trick of holding down the power button for more than 5 seconds, after which the TV would "reboot" just like an old PC.
I called the Westinghouse customer service and they walked me through the factory reset process, which forced me to reprogram all of my stored channels and configuration again. At first this seemed to work for a couple of days, but the problem returned and got progressively worse again. So I returned it to Target.
One good thing I will say off topic is that Target seems to have the best return policy of any place (including Amazon, as far as I can tell) with a 90-day return allowance. Now if they only they had the model I wanted... I would buy it there in a heartbeat (same prices as listed on Amazon for what is mutually stocked - and you get to have it now). I go to Amazon when I cannot find it at Target.
Burning time while deployed June 22, 2008 S. Neighbors 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ordered this tv while deployed overseas, tv got to me in great shape and only took about 4 days from the time it was shipped. Good price for a good tv.
DVD player broke after 9 months April 5, 2008 K. Wei (NY, NY USA) Bought the TV in July 2007 and has been working pretty good until this week, and the DVD player is dead. Not even 9 months. And it's not like I used it a lot and abused the TV. Very disappointed - it's not like it's an easy item to carry off to the repair shop or return - and I have to look for the warranty/manufacturer/user guide - anyone like to find that stuff after nine months of placing it in a drawer somewhere at home?
The TV itself works fine, although a colleauge at work pointed out that the TV/VCR combos of yesteryear usually worked like this: the VCR gives out, with TV inevitably not too far behind. So I'm worried that TV will die out now. Will never buy a combo function TV again.
Also, the metal frame around the screen is not well made - you can see the slight bumps in the frame.
