Sansui 32-inch HDTV/DVD combo January 21, 2010 Colin Cooper (Orange, CA) I am very pleased with this TV. It is extremely easy to set up and use and the light weight makes it easy to lift and move. Also, having a built-in DVD player is so convenient I wonder why more TV's are not made that way; there are no connecting wires and you only need a single remote. The instruction manual is short and easy to understand and the on-screen set-up and adjustments are a breeze. I would buy this TV again in a minute.
Good buy December 11, 2009 Iona Shenoy (Lawrenceville, NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The first feature that impresses is the light weight. I wasn't even sure there was a TV in the box. It was easily installed and has great sound quality with a reasonably good picture. What surprised me was the remote - which looks like the inexpensive all-purpose variety - except this one is very user friendly and sensitive - you clutch it with even a little pressure and a feature pops up on the screen. All things considered, I do recommend this product.
Almost Great December 7, 2009 L. Hunt (Bend, OR USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
So far I am very happy with this TV. I bought this for my mother who likes to watch TV and DVDs, but gets confused when there is more than one remote, which is why I purchased a TV/DVD combo. It has a great picture, great sound and is reasonably priced. And my mother finds it easy to use. There is one thing that bugs me about the TV. My mother lives in the country and so her reception is over the air. When you use the remote to change channels, if you press 2 on the remote, you will get analog channel 2 even though the TV has not been programmed to receive analog channel 2. In order to get the digital channel 2, you have to press 2, dash (-), 0, 0, 1 to get digital channel 2-001. So you have to press 5 keys to get to the channel you want. On my other TVs, when I press 2 on the remote, it goes to 2-001. The only way around this (and yes, I did read the manual) is to press 2, wait until it changes to analog 2, then press channel up to get to 2-001. Now the only thing left to judge this TV is how long it lasts and hopefully it will be at least several years before I have an answer for that.
Sansui TV November 17, 2009 Carol Lynn (San Francisco, CA. USA) 13 out of 16 found this review helpful
I have never rated a product before, but this time I felt that I had to alert other perspective buyers.
Bought this TV as it had a good rating in Europe and the fare East. Set it up with my cable company. Picture was impossible, like a 20 year old TV. Called the dealer. They said it wasn't their problem. Spoke with TV repair company, who told me that Sansui was the worst TV to buy in the USA and that they were unable to get parts for fixing it. Returned TV to supplier 24 hours later.
Don't bother to buy this TV for use in the States, as it doesn't seem to be the same product sold in other countries. This TV and distributing company are a real ZERO.
Great Product-Great Price November 11, 2009 Thomas A. Olson This was a real surprise. We have two other HDTV's in the house from more noted brands. This outshines them all at a fraction of the price. The DVD is just a bonus!!
